Nov. 10, 2020 -- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s (NARI’s) Minnesota Chapter has named Refined Home’s Tricia Wiitanen its 2020 NARI Member of the Year. The annual award recognizes the member who has shown outstanding dedication, maintained a high level of involvement, and created a positive impact within the association.
NARI said Tricia has contributed to the association in numerous ways this past year and furthered her own professional development by earning NARI’s Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) credentials.
The Association credited Tricia for showing outstanding leadership throughout the year as a main driver of the remodeling organization’s weekly Zoom roundtable discussion meetings. She took charge during a challenging and pivotal time for the membership and office staff last spring as COVID cases spiked.
Tricia serves on the board of NARI Cares. NARI Cares is NARI of MN’s philanthropic arm that assists needy homeowners and organizations with affordable repairs or remodeling projects. “Tricia has been an outstanding advocate for NARI Cares and was personally involved in several of its projects this past year. She is extremely passionate about helping the community, always willing to help on any project,” NARI said.
Normally, Tricia would have accepted the coveted rising diamond trophy on stage at the Association’s annual Contractor of the Year (CotY) Gala attended by hundreds of association members and their guests. With COVID restrictions, the event was Online this year.
"I'm immensely grateful to NARI for this recognition," Tricia said. "Volunteering alongside industry peers to benefit the community is a great honor. Ian and I joined NARI to be better partners with our customers. Our NARI MN membership provides ongoing opportunities for collaboration and education and helps to ground us in professionalism and business ethics."
NARI is the nation’s largest industry association for professional remodelers and their trade partners, suppliers, building products manufactures and support services. NARI Minnesota has the third largest membership among NARI chapters in 45 states.
